I am over 25, had driving licence for 6 mths - will any car hire companies allow me to hire a car?

Most of them say in the T&C’s that you must have your licence for more than 2 years. My sister and I want to hire a car, she is also over 25 and has her licence for more than 2 years - could I be a 2nd driver? I actually want to rent a car in Ireland, T&C’s similar to UK.
