If I hire a car in the UK, do I need to buy extra insurance? Any other hidden charges?
pottolom asked:
I am thinking of hiring a car with a budget rental firm such as Thrifty. If I do so, do I need to buy any extra insurance? Someone told me that these hire firms only provide you with very basic insurance, so that if you were to have an accident and it was your fault, you wouldn’t be covered….. is this true?

Also, I’ve had a look on their website, and they seem to charge £28 a day for car hire. This seems quite cheap - are there any other hidden costs to be aware of?

most car hire includes car insurance already, but if you really like you can get a comprehensive policy…
Search the net for such try sites like this for easy search…
About the hidden prices…you have to contact the car hire company and ask them or read contract papers for clarifications..
